Specific Responsibilities:

• Layout roadway, bridge, underground utility, and other construction projects with survey equipment accurate in both line and grade
• Assist the field supervisors in day to day field construction layout
• Ensure quality standards are met
• Have good communication skills with management, fellow employees, and inspection personnel
• Motivate employees while being flexible yet disciplined
• Knowledgeable of safety requirements
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tools, and equipment as necessary to perform assigned tasks
• Able to sit, stand, walk, or climb for periods of time, as required, to perform assigned tasks

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Surveyor on Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) projects of roadway, bridge, or underground utility construction.

-East Texas Bridge is seeking a Project Surveyor to join the team. The Surveyor will report to the Project Manager and use various methods and equipment to layout road construction and bridge projects. Equipment proficiency in robotic total stations, global positioning system units, as well as, a knowledge of reading and understanding construction plans for heavy highway civil construction projects is a requirement.
