Employment Listings: 1B ASPHALT TECHNICIAN

The position will primarily be responsible for hot mix quality control. The position includes roadway testing duties to ensure HMA being produced and placed meets or exceeds specification.

Other duties include, but are not limited to;

• aggregate gradations
• hot mix formulation
• tracking test results, generating reports, and communicating results with the quality control team/Supervisor.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to your supervisor.
• Use accepted methods to inspect, sample and test asphalt or other materials for the purpose of quality control.
• Sample and test mixtures for compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerance.
• Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure our products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer.
• Prepare and record accurate information.
• Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.
• Perform general cleaning of work areas.
• Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• 1B required.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
