Employment Listings: Asphalt Milling Operator

Operate asphalt milling machine. Basic asphalt knowledge including milling, paving, striping, and ability to operate equipment Observe milling machine operation and adjust controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerance. Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment, using machines' hand tools, or report malfunctions to supervisors. Remove workpieces from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using measuring instruments such as microscopes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Must work quickly, productively, and safely to meet production goals as outlined by the Foreman, Superintendent, and /or Project Manager. Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures. Actively participate in job-site and safety meetings and all Company related training. Must partner with other crew members and perform additional tasks of other positions as instructed by the crew foreman and/or upper management to ensure daily schedules are met. Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public. Ability to execute asphalt patching or overlays and repair & maintain milling equipment.
